HIDIVE has announced that the upcoming anime Rock is a Lady’s Modesty will join its exclusive simulcast lineup for the Spring 2025 season. Based on the manga by Hiroshi Fukuda, this coming-of-age drama infused with intense rock music is set to premiere on 3 April 2025, streaming exclusively on HIDIVE.
Set in an elite all-girls’ academy, the story follows Lilisa Suzunomiya, who, after her mother’s remarriage to a real estate tycoon, is forced to leave behind her love of rock music to conform to the school’s refined culture. However, when she hears the sound of drums from an old school building, she meets Otoha Kurogane, a skilled drummer who shares her passion for rock. Together, they challenge the strict traditions of their academy, embracing their rebellious spirit through music.
The anime adaptation is produced by BN Pictures and directed by Shinya Watada, with series composition by Shogo Yasukawa and character designs by Risa Miyadani. The voice cast includes Akira Sekine as Lilisa Suzunomiya and Miyuri Shimabukuro as Otoha Kurogane.
John Ledford, President of HIDIVE, shared his enthusiasm for the new title, stating:
We’re excited to add Rock is a Lady’s Modesty to our exclusive simulcast line-up for Spring 2025. This new series is sure to ‘rock’ audiences with both its music and coming-of-age storyline. Anime fans will not want to miss it!
