Voice actress and singer Nonoka Obuchi has announced the release of her second single, Saijoukyuu no Kokoro, scheduled to launch on 26 February 2025. This follows her debut single, Akaku Somete Shinzou (Dye My Heart Red), released in May 2024. The newly revealed single will serve as the opening theme for the upcoming anime I’m a Behemoth, an S-Ranked Monster, but Mistaken for a Cat, I Live as an Elf Girl’s Pet (Ｓランクモンスターの《ベヒーモス》だけど、猫と間違われてエルフ娘の騎士ペットとして暮らしてます), in which Obuchi voices the character Lily. The anime, an adaptation of the light novel by Nozomi Ginyoku and illustrated by Mitsuki Yano, is set to premiere in January 2025.
The single will be available in three editions: Signed, Anime, and Standard. The Signed Edition includes one of ten randomly selected Polaroid photos hand-signed by Obuchi, along with a reissued photobook titled Nono-Sanpo, which features exclusive photos taken alongside fellow voice actress Yukina Shuto. The Anime Edition features a specially illustrated anime-themed cover, while the Standard Edition’s jacket design will be revealed closer to the release date.
The title track was written by Enon Kawatani, known for his work with several bands, including Indigo la End and Gesu no Kiwami Otome. Additional tracks will feature compositions by Katsutoshi Kitagawa and Fuminsho, among others. A preview of Saijoukyuu no Kokoro can be heard in the anime’s first official trailer.
