Release Trailer Shared For Upcoming TV Anime, Mecha-Ude: Mechanical Arms

The official release trailer for Mecha-Ude: Mechanical Arms has been revealed, providing potential future fans with a glimpse into the anime’s key characters and offering insights into their personalities. Also known as メカウデ, this is an original anime television series which originated as a Kickstarter project by Sae Okamoto back in 2016, which is now being animated by TriF Studio and will commence broadcasting on 3 October 2024.

Mecha-Ude: Mechanical Arms ollows Hikaru, a junior high school student, and Alma, a “Mecha-Ude” – a mechanical life form capable of merging with humans – as they embark on a series of adventures and battles.

Mecha-Ude: Mechanical Arms will stream globally (excluding Asia and South Asia) on Crunchyroll, with Aniplus handling distribution in Asia starting 4 October 2024. For those in Asia territories, streaming is confirmed to be available via the following platforms:

The anime’s original concept and direction are by Okamoto, with Yasuhiro Nakanishi handling series composition. Character designs are crafted by Terumi Nishii and Yoko Uchida, while the Mecha-Ude designs and concept art come from Nurikabe. Shota Kawamura serves as the 3DCG Director, and Takeshi Takadera leads sound direction. The music is composed by renowned artists Hiroyuki Sawano, KOHTA YAMAMOTO, and DAIKI (AWSM.), with general supervision by Hiroshi Matsuyama from CyberConnect2. Animation production is handled by TriF Studio.

The Japanese voice cast includes Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Hikaru and Tomokazu Sugita as Alma. Additional cast members include Yu Shimamura as Aki, Kaito Ishikawa as Sinis and Dex, Romi Park as Kagami, Amatsuki as Tohdoh, and Hiroki Touchi as Aljis. Yuichi Nakamura voices Fist, Aoi Yuki plays Fubuki, Yoko Hikasa portrays Amaryllis, and Kappei Yamaguchi lends his voice to Yakumo.

The theme songs for Mecha-Ude: Mechanical Arms are both performed by setsuko of KuhakGokko and produced by Hiroyuki Sawano. The opening theme is titled “VORTEX”, with lyrics by Benjamin and cAnON, while the ending theme, “karma”, features lyrics by SennaRin.
