Demon Slayer TV Specials Go Live on AnimeLab, Recaps Story So Far

Need a refresher before seeing Demon Slayer the Movie: Mugen Train? Australian anime publisher Madman Entertainment has released three TV Special episodes of Demon Slayer, recapping the critical events presented in the 26-episode first season. These are summarised in three (rather lengthy) episodes titled: Sibling’s Bond, Mt. Natagumo Arc and The Hashira Meeting Arc.

Each TV special episode is available with both the original Japanese audio and English dubbing, although access to either or both may depend on your AnimeLab subscription being premium, rather than free.

Demon Slayer is a 23-volume manga written by Koyoharu Gotouge between 2016 and 2020. Its anime adaptation was animated by Ufotable, with its first season airing in Japan between April and September 2019. A second season is scheduled for release later this year.

Demon Slayer is set in a world where bloodthirsty demons lurk, and nobody dares to venture out at night, save for the demon slayer of legend. Surviving in this harsh world, young Tanjirou takes it upon himself to protect his family–until the day that everything is taken from him in a vicious slaughter. Now, all he has left is his sister, and she’s not even human anymore.

AnimeLab is an online anime streaming service managed by Madman Entertainment. It’s accessible only to those residing in Australia and New Zealand and offers a basic service free with video quality, dub and availability timeframe limitations. For those looking for access to no simulcast delays, no ads, full back-catalogue access and high definition video can take advantage of a premium subscription membership for $7.95AUD/month or $79.50AUD/year.
