Sony Computer Entertainment Australia and Nissan have today confirmed that they will once again be collaborating on the Nissan PlayStation GT Academy in Australia during 2015. To celebrate this announcement, they have also confirmed that Michael Caruso will be race the #23 GT Academy Nissan Altima V8 Supercar (Pictured Above) at Symmons Plains Raceway in Launceston, Tasmania this weekend.

Once again, the event will see gamers qualify for their country’s National Final by posting times in Nissan cars to the Gran Turismo 6 leader board. Finalists are then selected from the National Final results, with these individuals set to compete against the world’s best GT6 racers at ‘Race Camp’, where the GT Academy winner is crowned and the transition from “gamer to pro racer” is completed.

Those interested in taking part in the 2015 GT Academy festivities are encouraged to sign up via the interest registration page HERE.
