A recent decision by Cloud Imperium Games saw the developer remove physical collector’s items from their Star Citizen online store that were either sold individually or as part of packages. For example, you were previously able to purchase a digital Freelancer package which contained a pile of digital goodies or a slightly more expensive physical Freelancer package which contained those same goodies as physical items. Now, only the digital bundle can be purchased.
Citing consumer demand, CIG have decided to offer these items for purchase once again until January 31st 2015. These items are being sold individually, with links to each found below:
- Spaceship shaped USB stick
- The Making of Star Citizen
- Engineering Manual for Modders
- Game soundtrack
- Squadron 42 Manual
- Game universe map
After this date, CIG claim that the items will be removed from their online store as they begin looking into production. From this, it sounds like they are anticipating that Star Citizen will be available sooner rather than later.
