I have always considered Little Busters! to be an underloved KEY title. Sure it currently has three PC versions (Little Busters, Little Busters Ecstasy and Little Busters Ecstasy: All Ages), a PS2 and PSP game and several manga series, however it is one of the few KEY titles to have not received an anime port and from the looks of things might not be receiving one for a while yet. However, instead of a long awaited anime port, the game developer Prototype who were responsible for the PSP/PS2 ports have announced that they will be releasing a PS Vita version of the game at their “Prototype Fan Appreciation Day” held on Saturday in Tokyo.
No information on price or release date is currently known, however improvements to the game have been briefly touched upon. The quality will be improved from the original PC version going from a 800 x 600 pixel resolution to 960 x 544 pixels to suit the screen of the PS Vita. As well, they will also be upgrading the mini-games such as the baseball and shooting games to support the touch screen. No information on any storyline improvements or extra inclusions however if they exist, I am sure information will be made available in the future.
I am curious to how popular this will be considering the number of previous versions released – however I wouldn’t personally object to the inclusion of an all-ages version of Kud Wafter to go alongside with it or something like that. This game will be the All-Ages Ecstasy version. In September last year, I posted a review of the normal PC version which can be seen HERE.
