For the first time quite possibly ever, Namco Bandai didn’t wait around to test the waters with Tales of Xillia before announcing their plans to publish its sequel Tales of Xillia 2 next year on the Playstation 3. Taking place a year or so after the events of the first game, it is set to retain all original playable characters, see a few characters promoted to the ‘Party Member’ role and feature a brand new set of protagonists – Ludger Will Kresnik and Elle Mel Marta.
A year after the events depicted in the first Tales of Xillia, new hero Ludger Will Kresnik found his fate mysteriously intertwined with Elle Mel Marta, a little girl travelling in search for the Land of Canaan. When a shadowy organisation attacks them, Ludger awaken powers linked to a mysterious pocket watch he entrusted Elle with. What are this powers and where they come from are two of the many mysteries you will have to dig out into the light in Tales of Xillia 2.
The latest trailer viewable above features our first look at the games English dub. Unfortunately if Tales of Xillia was any indicator, it will be the only dub you have to choose from.
