Australian anime publisher Siren Visual have today confirmed that their stock of Mawaru Penguindrum Part 2 on both DVD and Blu-ray has arrived considerably early ahead of its official 20th June 2013 release. Therefore rather than just collecting dust in the corner of their office they have confirmed that pre-ordered copies are now on their way and some lucky punters will receive branded ceramic mugs, microfiber towels and other Penguindrum gear related gear.
However they have confirmed that due to the request of the producers, they have had to change their sleeve to represent the ‘dark’ nature of the second half of the series – which they themselves describe as being “very cool and a stark contrast to the art on Part 1”.
Screenings of Mawaru Penguindrum are planned for upcoming Supanova, AVCon and Manifest conventions.
