Kadokawa Games and SUDA51’s own Grasshopper Manufacture studio have been busy the last couple of days, with the release of not only a brand new set of screenshots for Killer is Dead but also a sizable number of trailers – ranging from battle trailers to storyline trailers.
Below are the bunch of screenshots recently released for the game, which detail some of the character artwork/designs for the characters in the title, as well as a further glimpse at some general gameplay and cut-scene footage. From these, you may get a better idea about what you can expect when you spend your time balancing your roles as an executioner of heinous criminals and picking up the ladies.
For the Playstation 3 and XBox360 consoles later this year and created by acclaimed developer SUDA51, this game is set in a not-so-distant alternate future similar to the world we know now. Players control an executioner named Mondo Zappa who wields a Japanese sword in his right hand while utilizing interchangeable weapons in his left artificial arm. His ultimate goal is to execute various heinous criminals scattered around the world and beyond.
Killer is Dead is set for release on both the Playstation 3 and XBox360 in Japan on the 1st August 2013. XSEED Games / Marvelous USA have already picked up the international rights for this title and will also be releasing it later this year.
