Red Kiss is expanding beyond PC. Developer Wispfire and publisher Fellow Traveller announced during IGN x ID@XBOX that their Cold War vampire spy RPG will launch on Xbox and Game Pass on day one, alongside the previously announced PC version on Steam.
The game is set in the underworld of Berlin in 1989, where players run a house of attractive and emotionally complicated vampire spies. Espionage, political intrigue and blood bonds are all part of the job, along with some questionable personal decisions and one key rule: always obey Daddy.
Players take the role of a newly turned vampire recruited by the mysterious and controlling Daddy to serve as an Augur. With the ability to communicate telepathically, the Augur directs a team of eccentric vampire agents through an occult device called the Tabernacle, sending them out across a city split by politics, paranoia and a growing tangle of supernatural interests.
Each agent comes with their own skills, secrets, relationships and private agendas. Players decide who to send on dangerous missions, work through skill checks, keep track of blood and energy, and try to keep things steady with an increasingly messy group of spies.
Red Kiss combines dispatch-style strategy with visual novel storytelling and light RPG management. As players get to know their agents, they can form blood bonds, uncover each character’s personal story and decide how far they are willing to go.
