Edge of Memories has a new global release date. NACON has confirmed the French-developed JRPG will now launch on 3 December 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. According to NACON, launching during this quieter period will give players room to explore the game at their own pace. In the meantime, an updated demo is set to arrive on Steam in early November.
That demo will cover the opening hours of the adventure and reflect the latest changes made to the game. Drawing on community feedback, the developers have reworked combat to make it more dynamic and intense, and have also made a range of gameplay and accessibility improvements.
Edge of Memories is a third-person action RPG set across the continent of Avaris, designed to be approachable for both genre veterans and newcomers. The journey takes players through a variety of striking but dangerous locations, including the lush plains of Argat, the dense and mystical Kaishan forest, and the Sanctorium lands in the Kezal Mountains.
The game seeks to pair the mechanics of JRPGs with a French animation style, and its core was designed in collaboration with several well-known names from the genre. These include character designer Raita Kazama, known for Xenoblade Chronicles X, and writer Sawako Natori, who worked on NieR. The soundtrack is led by Cédric Menendez (Edge of Eternity), whose score evolves as players progress, with vocals by Emi Evans (NieR and NieR: Automata) and Marion Schneider (Edge of Eternity and Temtem). Composers Mariam Abounnasr (Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and ONINAKI) and Yasunori Mitsuda (Chrono Trigger and Xenogears) have also contributed to the original soundtrack.
Edge of Memories launches on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on 3 December 2026, with the updated Steam demo due in early November.
