Gravity Circuit 2 is adding a second hero, and players can try both characters right now. Finnish studio Domesticated Ant Games and French publisher Dear Villagers used the Galaxies Autumn Showcase to release a demo for the 2D action platformer on Steam.
The demo offers 30 minutes of play across two stages, with both Kai and newcomer Cable available. It gives players an early look at how the two characters handle, along with the new customisation options, ahead of the full game’s release in Spring 2027 on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch.
The sequel takes place in the same universe as the original Gravity Circuit, set years later in a rebuilt Kernel City. A new Ark has arrived carrying invading forces from the Hunter Army, and it falls to Kai and Cable to deal with them. Players can choose between the two before each mission.
The pair fight in very different ways. Kai sticks with the close-quarters combat he was known for in the first game, while Cable prefers to keep his distance, firing projectiles, damaging enemies with his multiple jumps and using powers that turn defeated enemies into scrap he can fire back as ammunition.
Both characters can be developed throughout the game. Booster Chips and Burst Techniques shape each hero’s moves and stats, and every boss defeated drops Circuit Shards that unlock a new upgrade, granting fresh abilities.
Gravity Circuit 2 is a single-player game and is due to release sometime in Spring 2027.
