Producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi has turned the spotlight on the look of Stupid Never Dies in the fourth Deep Bite video, focusing on art, released ahead of the pop-punk action RPG's launch on PC and PlayStation 5 on 21 October. The video explains how developer GPTRACK50 set out to give the game a style that, like its protagonist Davy, feels rebellious and emotional rather than overly polished, drawing on the game's neo pop punk theme with colours and styles tied to the nostalgic feel of that music. 3D models are given a hand-drawn appearance through carefully constructed linework and shadows, blending familiar classic elements with more modern ones. Over Technology (OT), a core part of both Davy's and his enemies' abilities, is built into the monster designs, with enemies looking more menacing the more powerful they are and the more dangerous the dungeon. Because the story is told from Davy's perspective, the interface and other visual details are designed to look like items Davy would have lying around, or things he drew himself.
