Bikini Bottom’s ghost problem has spread to another platform. SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide, the platformer from developer Purple Lamp and publisher THQ Nordic, is now available on the original Nintendo Switch.
The story stems from a falling out between two of the Seven Seas’ most prominent figures, the Flying Dutchman and King Neptune. Their feud has filled Bikini Bottom with ghostly trouble, and it is up to SpongeBob and Patrick to set things right.
Players can switch between the two characters at any time, combining their different platforming abilities to get through each area. Patrick has new skills this time around, including grappling and burrowing. The adventure visits locations from the show such as Neptune’s Palace and Mount Bikini, and features large boss encounters. The game tells an original story, with voice work from the show’s original cast.
The game’s theme song, Titans of the Tide, can also be streamed in full on major music platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and YouTube Music.
SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide is available now on Nintendo Switch, joining existing versions on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.
