Just Dance: Decades of Hits Launches as 2026 Instalment in Franchise

Just Dance: Decades of Hits has launched today by Ubisoft on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, bringing 35 songs and a new Adventure Mode built around six musical eras. The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition follows on 10 November 2026, with a free upgrade route possible for owners of the last-gen Nintendo console version.

True to its name, the edition offers 35 songs which represent different eras of music, from the 1970s all the way to the 2020s – with some verifiable headboppers among the mix:

Adventure Mode gives the journey through the decades a story to follow. Players join Lyra, Dr. Gigavolt’s daughter, as she travels through time to rescue her father. Its six themed worlds combine dancing with mini activities and exclusive rewards to unlock, with the mode available to owners of Decades of Hits.

The decade theme extends to the game’s visuals, drawing on settings such as 1970s disco floors, the 1980s rock scene and 2000s pop. Alongside the adventure, local multiplayer supports up to six dancers, and players can use a compatible smartphone with the free Just Dance Controller app on Android and iOS platforms to play.

Party Mode changes the rules between rounds, while Workout Mode tracks calories burned during dances. A new multiple dancer card system also allows each player to customise their own profile.

For returning players, Decades of Hits also shares a song library with the Just Dance 2023–2026 editions. Tracks from editions a player owns on the same console can be accessed together without switching between games or separate menus. That shared library also includes purchased Music Packs and songs available through an active Just Dance+ subscription.
