Drunken Goddess Reflux Launches On Steam in December, Demo Confirmed

A drinking contest with a lovestruck demon is the premise of Drunken Goddess Reflux, a roguelike survival game from developer WHO YOU and publisher Alliance Arts. Revealed during the Triple-i Showcase, the game is set to launch on PC via Steam on Tuesday 8 December 2026, with a demo arriving first as part of Steam Next Fest from Monday 19 October 2026.

The setting is Pandemonium, a bar located in Hell, where players face Femme Soule, the demon of alcohol. Her goal isn’t to torment the player for eternity. She has fallen in love and is searching for a soulmate whose tolerance for alcohol matches her own, convinced that the player, desperate to escape reality, would be happier staying with her in Hell. The player does not share that view. What follows is a game of Russian roulette played with infernal liquor. Each drink pushes both the player and Femme Soule closer to vomiting out their soul, and the aim is simply to stay conscious longer than she does. To tip the odds, players can use underhanded tricks to bend the rules, some of which come at a personal cost. One example given by the developers involves driving an ice pick into your own hand, using the pain to cut through a drunken stupor.

There are two ways a run can end. Outlast Femme Soule until she is the first to lose her lunch, and the player returns to reality. Lose the contest, and the player’s soul is gone, leaving them to spend the afterlife with her in Hell.

Fuyuki Hayashi, head developer at Alliance Arts, spoke about the community’s response so far and the role he hopes the demo will play ahead of launch:

The overwhelming community response to everything we have shown for Drunken Goddess Reflux has been nothing short of amazing. With Steam Next Fest around the corner, everyone can finally get a taste with the debut demo, and to lend their voice to development as we approach launch in December.
