SIX the Musical has arrived at Theatre Royal Sydney with a new Australian cast. The Sydney engagement follows the production’s Melbourne season, with Brisbane next on the itinerary from January 2027 for the summer school holidays period.
Written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, the 80-minute musical recasts Henry VIII’s six wives as pop performers telling their own stories. Its concert format puts Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anna of Cleves, Katherine Howard and Catherine Parr at the microphone, shifting the attention from their shared husband to the women themselves.
The six queens for the 2026-2027 tour are Sarah Murr as Catherine of Aragon, Mia Paris Scalise as Anne Boleyn, Cara Bessey as Jane Seymour, Kadesa Honeyhill as Anna of Cleves, Angela Brischetto as Katherine Howard and Lorinda May Merrypor as Catherine Parr. The company also includes swings Lauren Goetz and Geena Hutton, alongside returning performers Thalia Smith and Cristina D’Agostino. Smith serves as Dance Captain and Swing, while D’Agostino combines her Alternate Swing duties with roles as Associate Choreographer and Assistant to the Director.
Australian Associate Director Sharon Millerchip returns to lead the company. The onstage band features Music Director Claire Healy and Assistant Music Director Heidi Maguire on keys, Kathryn Stammers on drums, Danielle Colligan on guitar and Matilda Yang on bass.
Ticketing information for the upcoming Sydney and Brisbane seasons can be found via the production’s official Australian website. SIX will perform at Theatre Royal Sydney until 20 December 2026.
