HIDIVE has released the official English subtitled trailer for Reincarnated as a Sword Season 2, ahead of the anime’s return as part of the streaming service’s Fall 2026 simulcast season. The second season will stream exclusively on HIDIVE in the United States and Canada, alongside selected international markets including Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Before its streaming debut, Reincarnated as a Sword Season 2 will receive its North American premiere at Anime NYC 2026 on 22 August 2026. The screening will be followed by a Q&A featuring director Shinji Ishihira and producers Yosuke Shimada and Genta Ozaki.
The series follows a nameless man who is reincarnated in another world as a sentient sword. Using telekinesis and the abilities he acquires during his travels, he eventually encounters Fran, a young member of the Black Cat Tribe fleeing from a monster. After Fran uses the sword to defeat the creature, she names him Shishou and becomes his wielder. The pair subsequently set out as adventurers, with Fran seeking to become the first member of the Black Cat Tribe to evolve into a more powerful beast and fulfil her parents’ dream.
