The Australian leg of The Next Step: Legacy World Tour is scheduled to begin in Melbourne on 8 April 2026. This two week event brings performers from the long running Canadian television series to various stages across the country, following the show’s 10 season history. After the opening in Melbourne, the production will travel to Geelong, Adelaide, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Newcastle, Sutherland, Sydney and Canberra.
A variety of cast members from throughout the show’s history are participating in the tour. The lineup includes Victoria Baldesarra (Michelle), Briar Nolet (Richelle), Jordan Clark (Giselle), Isaac Lupien (Eldon), Noah Zulfikar (Kingston), Emmerly Tinglin (Kenzie), Carter Musselman (Heath), Alex Chaves (Piper), Benjamin Williams (Pete), and Shane Mahabir (Ethan).
The live show seeks to combine dance choreography with new storytelling and references to moments from the television series. The Next Step has produced more than 250 episodes across 10 seasons and is currently broadcast in over 120 countries. In Australia, the tenth season is available to view on the ABC.
The production is a joint effort between Boat Rocker Studios and MRG Live. Choreography for the tour has been developed by Amy Wright, Trevor Tordjman and Jordan Clark, with Tordjman and Clark also taking on creative roles for the show. Cast member Alex Chaves expressed interest in returning to the country and engaging with the local dance community:
I love Australia! The weather, the energy, the coffee, brunch culture and the people of course! Australia has such a strong dance community so I’m super excited to be bringing the tour there.
Jordan Clark, who also serves as a show creative and choreographer, noted that it has been a decade since her last performance in Australia:
