GIANTS Software has revealed the latest entry in its agricultural series, Farming Simulator 26, which is headed to the Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android platforms starting 19 May 2026. This iteration introduces a structured challenge system designed to provide players with specific objectives and rewards while maintaining the series’ traditional open-ended gameplay.
The new challenge system aims to offer players an optional direction for virtual farmers, such as tasks involving the delivery of wheat to a grain mill to facilitate flour production for a bakery. Players can earn rewards by completing these weekly or seasonal objectives, which are intended to encourage interaction with the various production chains within the game’s ecosystem.
Two new environments serve as the backdrop for these activities, with one map set in North America and the other in Europe. Within these regions, players can cultivate 15 different types of crops or engage in forestry tasks using heavy machinery. The game also includes animal husbandry, allowing players to manage and care for cows, sheep, chickens, and goats, as well as their offspring.
The title features a catalogue of over 120 licensed vehicles and tools from global manufacturers. Included in the roster are brands such as John Deere, Case IH, CLAAS, DEUTZ-FAHR, Fendt, KRONE, Kubota, Massey Ferguson, New Holland, and Valtra.
To assist those new to the series or the platform, Farming Simulator 26 includes several quality-of-life updates. These include the addition of GPS guidance for field work and a suite of improved in-game tutorials to help players familiarise themselves with the mechanical aspects of running a farm.
This is not set to be released on other platforms including the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC – with Farming Simulator 25 still expected to be the flagship experience on high-spec’d gaming platforms.
