Blizzard Entertainment has officially commenced its latest crossover event, bringing the world of the NieR franchise into the hero shooter Overwatch. The Overwatch x Project YoRHa collaboration is now live and is scheduled to remain active for players until 24 March 2026 AEDT.
The update introduces five Legendary skins that transform existing heroes into characters from the YoRHa android units and the machine lifeform collective featured in Yoko Taro’s action RPG NieR: Automata. These cosmetics are distributed across various in-game bundles and include the following character pairings:
- Kiriko as 2B
- Wuyang as 9S
- Vendetta as A2
- Mercy as Commander White
- Lifeweaver as the humanoid machine Adam
The game’s visual presentation has also been updated with a themed lobby. This environment was a collaborative effort co-designed by artists Kimihiko Fujisaka and Koda Kazuma to establish the appropriate atmosphere for the event. All related challenges and shop bundles will be available until the event concludes on 24 March 2026.
