Developer Artificer and publisher Devolver Digital, in collaboration with Crunching Koalas, have confirmed a 6 March 2026 release date for Sumerian Six on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. This real-time tactical stealth adventure invites players into an alternate reimagining of World War 2, where the outcome of the conflict hinges on a specialized group of experts known as the Enigma Squad.
The game features a narrative spanning 10 chapters, taking players through missions set in various locations inspired by history. Players take command of a team of six scientists who have transitioned into commandos, utilizing their specific areas of expertise to dismantle Nazi operations from within.
Gameplay aims to focus on strategic movement and the creative use of character abilities to navigate guarded strongholds. The Enigma Squad includes members such as chemist Rosa Reznick, who utilizes chemical concoctions, and Wojtek Galica, a character capable of transforming into a creature known as The Werebear. As players progress through the campaign, the squad gains power to better face an array of supernatural and mutated enemies deployed by the Third Reich.
Success in these missions is framed as the only way to avert a dark future resulting from a Nazi victory – with the hope that player’s dexterity and careful planning will help overcome the heavily armed forces found throughout the adventure.
