Eastasiasoft has confirmed that the dungeon-crawling JRPG Tokyo Clanpool will receive a limited physical release for PC platforms. This announcement coincides with the official cancellation of the game’s release on Nintendo Switch for North American and European markets. Furthermore, the publisher has positioned this new PC version as the definitive physical option for international collectors.
Dubbed the Tokyo Clanpool Uncut Edition, this physical release is designed to restore all original content found in the Japanese version of the game. It features faithful localization for both English and Traditional Chinese text. Eastasiasoft also addressed the status of the existing digital version on GOG, sharing that an off-site patch will be released to restore content that was removed from previous iterations.
Pre-orders for this limited edition are scheduled to open on Thursday, 22 January 2025. Sales will commence at 10:00 am ET on the eastasiasoft store, as well as through affiliated partners such as Playasia. The publisher has noted that international shipping options will be available exclusively from their store for this specific product.
Developed originally by Compile Heart and Idea Factory, this edition is being published exclusively by eastasiasoft. The package is priced at US$49.99 plus shipping and is strictly limited to 1,000 units. Fulfillment of these orders is currently expected to take place in early 2026.
The physical Collector’s Box includes the game on a uniquely branded USB drive rather than a traditional disc. The full contents of the edition include:
- A uniquely branded USB drive containing the game
- Soundtrack CD
- Art book
- Poster
- Sticker sheets
- Acrylic character standees
- Numbered certificate
- Collector’s box
