Pigeons at Play and Devolver Digital have rolled out their Oxythane Breach update for the co op shooter Mycopunk, a free content update for all existing players. The patch expands the game with new levels, enemies, gear, and a fresh mode hoping to offer players new challenges.
Among the new additions as part of Oxythane Breach are two new levels, including the overrun titular Oxythane Facility, along with massive new foes such as the Missilehead, a towering creature capable of launching volleys of projectiles directly from its dome. Players can also get their hands on the new Accelerator weapon, designed for rapid, high-intensity firepower.
The update adds new turbo-charged upgrades that grant Exotics enhanced abilities and stat boosts in exchange for Strange Components, offering deeper progression options for veteran players. There is also the newly introduced Paid Time Off mode. Here, players can team up with up to five others to complete randomly generated objectives across New Atlas. The twist is in its risk-reward setup: the longer players remain in the field, the tougher the enemy resistance becomes.
