Insomniac Games has outlined a release window for Marvel’s Wolverine, confirming the PlayStation 5 exclusive is set to arrive in Spring 2026 in Australia, with a Fall 2026 launch in the Northern Hemisphere.
Positioned as a new, original take on the character in collaboration with Marvel Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment, the game follows Logan as he hunts for answers about a dark past that refuses to stay buried. Australian actor Liam McIntyre is set to portray Wolverine, with the story framing his path through hostile factions and familiar faces while leaning into his rapid healing factor and close-quarters brutality.
Insomniac is pitching Marvel’s Wolverine as a fast, fluid combat that makes full use of adamantium claws, momentum-building berserker attacks and techniques that can dismember or break enemies who stand in Logan’s way. It is also pitched as a global thriller that moves between locations such as Madripoor, the Canadian wilderness and Tokyo’s narrow streets, as well as appearances from characters like Mystique, Omega Red and the Reavers.
Marvel’s Wolverine is in development for the PlayStation 5.
