The Lovers Adds Three Final Performances To Sydney Season

Date:

Shake & Stir and Crossroads Live have added three final performances to the Sydney season of Australian pop musical The Lovers, with tickets now on sale through to 23 November. The production opens at Theatre Royal Sydney on 31 October for a three week run.

Written and composed by Laura Murphy, The Lovers reimagines Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream for contemporary audiences with a pop score, a live band, and a fast paced take on the classic tangle of romance and mischief.

The principal cast features Natalie Abbott as Helena, Jason Arrow as Demetrius, Jayme-Lee Hanekom as Puck, Loren Hunter as Hermia, Stellar Perry as Oberon, and Mat Verevis as Lysander. They are joined by Indigo Hunt, Jenni Little, and Nic Van Lits as part of the ensemble.

Creative credits include director Nick Skubij, choreographer Yvette Lee, music director Heidi Maguire, designer Isabel Hudson, lighting designer Trent Suidgeest, and video and sound designer David Bergman.

Ticketing information for The Lovers for across both Brisbane and Sydney seasons can be found via the musical’s official website.
