HoYoverse has confirmed that Honkai: Star Rail’s next major update, Version 3.6, titled “Back to Earth in Evernight,” will roll out on September 24. The update expands both the story and playable roster, bringing Evernight and Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae into the game, alongside new events, trials, and features.
Evernight, revealed as a new 5 star Ice character following the Path of Remembrance, joins as a fighter who specializes in working with memosprites. With her memosprite “Evey,” she gains stacks of “Memoria” that boost damage output, and her Ultimate ability places both herself and Evey into an enhanced “Darkest Riddle” state that further amplifies their power.
Also joining is Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae, who takes on a new form after unlocking the power of Permanence. In this state, he gains the ability to provide stronger defensive support for allies, designating a Bondmate and summoning a Souldragon that shields teammates and dispels debuffs. His Ultimate strikes all enemies, strengthens the Souldragon, and triggers team wide shielding effects. Players with Trailblaze Level 3 or above will be able to claim him for free from the start of his Warp until the conclusion of Version 4.0.
In terms of gameplay content, the high difficulty challenge mode “Anomaly Arbitration” debuts in this version. The mode features three trial stages followed by a final stage, requiring players to form multiple teams to progress. Clearing all stages provides rewards including the new “Interference Key” item. Additional events will follow, such as “Nice Weather for Dromases” and the multiplayer focused “Colorful Mayhem.”
The update also introduces a Main Story Replay feature, allowing Trailblazers to revisit completed missions and rewatch specific story segments or cutscenes.
