With the Nintendo Switch 2 having been out on store shelves for a couple of months now, Ubisoft has finally released Star Wars Outlaws on the platform. This follows previous releases on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC (via multiple platforms).
For the first time, Nintendo gamers will be able to step into the shoes of Kay Vess, voiced by Humberly González, alongside companion Nix, voiced by Dee Bradley Baker. The story follows the pair as they pursue a high risk heist in the Outer Rim while crossing paths with the galaxy’s criminal syndicates.
On Nintendo Switch 2, the release includes platform specific features such as touch controls for menus and select minigames, gyroscope assisted aiming, an optimized handheld mode and motion controls tied to key gameplay actions.
As this is Ubisoft, you can expect a separate edition of the game to be available alongside the base edition. The Gold Edition on Nintendo Switch 2 includes the base game and Season Pass access. The Season Pass content comprises the Jabba’s Gambit mission, the Kessel Runner cosmetic pack, the Hunter’s Legacy bundle, the Cartel Ronin bundle and two story packs.
The two story packs require progress in the base game:
- Star Wars Outlaws: Wild Card tasks Kay with infiltrating a high stakes Sabacc tournament and features an encounter with Lando Calrissian. Players must complete The Gunsmith and The High Roller quests from the base game before this content is available.
- Star Wars Outlaws: A Pirate’s Fortune pairs Kay and Nix with Hondo Ohnaka against Stinger Tash and the Rokana Raiders, sending players into the Khepi Tomb and introducing the Miyuki Trade League. This content unlocks after finishing the main storyline.
Cosmetic add ons are also available through the Ultimate Pack, which includes the Sabacc Shark Cosmetic Bundle, Rogue Infiltrator Cosmetic Bundle, Naboo Nobility Cosmetic Bundle, Desert Nomad Cosmetic Bundle and the Forest Commando Character Pack.
