Wizards of the Coast used a special PAX West panel over the weekend to unveil Magic: The Gathering | Marvel’s Spider-Man in full, confirming a global release date of 26 September 2-2025. The crossover set brings Spider-Man, Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy to the trading card game, alongside a roster of friends and foes from across the Marvel multiverse.
During the presentation, attendees received a first look at several components that will feature in booster packs when the set arrives:
- Villains highlighted in the set include Venom, Green Goblin, Dr. Octavius and the Sinister Six
- Showcase Scene cards that combine to form comic book style panoramas
- Artwork drawn from iconic Spider-Man comic sources, with contributions credited to artists such as Jack Kirby, Todd McFarlane, John Romita Sr., Mike Zeck and Bob Mcleod
- The Infinity Stones come to Magic, with The Soul Stone appearing in three different versions within this set
- New mechanics and ways to play such as Pick-Two Draft
- Borderless costume change cards
- A full Bonus Sheet
- Welcome Decks designed to help new players learn the game
This release marks the next step in the Magic and Marvel collaboration, following Secret Lair drops at the end of 2024 and earlier in 2025.
