Independent studio 3DClouds has released the first public demo for Formula Legends, offering PC players an early opportunity to experience the sim-cade racer as part of Steam Next Fest. Running from 9 June to 16 June 2025, the event allows users to sample a portion of the game ahead of its full release later this year.
Coinciding with the demo launch, Formula Legends was also featured in the Future Games Show Summer Showcase, where a new gameplay trailer premiered. The footage highlights a range of new content, including vehicles spanning seven decades of open-wheeled racing and tracks inspired by globally recognised circuits. You can view the full trailer below:
Seeking to blend the accessibility of arcade racing with the depth of motorsport simulation, Formula Legends includes features such as tyre wear, fuel consumption, weather variability, and damage simulation. The demo showcases Belgium’s ‘Ardennes GP’ track, available in three different configurations – Vintage, Classic, and Modern – along with cars, drivers, and teams that reflect the mid-70s, early-90s, and contemporary racing eras. Each vehicle offers era-specific handling and performance characteristics.
Players can take part in qualifying sessions, races of up to ten laps, and time trials with online leaderboard support. The demo is designed to appeal both to long-time motorsport enthusiasts and newcomers who may find modern racing titles overly complex.
The full version of Formula Legends is planned for release later in 2025 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store). Feedback from the demo will inform the ongoing development of the title.
Francesco Bruschi, CEO of 3DClouds, expressed appreciation for the early support the game has received and called for continued player engagement during this next stage of development:
We were blown away by the reception to Formula Legends when it was announced earlier this year and now we’re delighted to release the first demo on PC. We’re accelerating towards the next stage of development but we need all racing game fans (casual, hardcore, aspirational) to tell us what they think about Formula Legends so we can take its development to the next level.
