Romantic comedy fans attending Anime Expo 2025 can look forward to a special preview panel for The Dangers in My Heart Movie. Taking place on Friday 4 July 2025 from 8.00 – 8.00pm at the JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE’s Diamond Ballroom, the event will offer attendees an early look at the first feature-length entry in The Dangers in My Heart franchise.
Presented in collaboration with TV Asahi, the panel will highlight the upcoming film, which combines a compilation of Seasons 1 and 2 with newly animated sequences that continue the love story of Kyotaro and Anna. Attendees can also look forward to a Q&A session featuring key members of the production team from Japan: director Hiroaki Akagi and producers Yosuke Sakurai and Kazuki Endo.
The series follows Kyotaro, a reclusive student with a fascination for the macabre, whose dark thoughts begin to shift after a chance interaction with his classmate, the popular Anna Yamada. What begins as a contrast between personalities gradually develops into a nuanced exploration of adolescent emotions and self-discovery.
John Ledford, President of HIDIVE, shared his enthusiasm for the upcoming event:
We’re thrilled to partner with TV Asahi on this very special The Dangers in My Heart Movie panel at Anime Expo 2025 in July. The Dangers in My Heart, with its endearing love story, became a beloved and fan-favourite series soon after its debut in Spring 2023 and went on to garner numerous awards and accolades for both its first season and sequel season in Winter 2024. We expect a capacity audience at the movie panel and rom-com fans will definitely not want to miss it!
Both seasons of The Dangers in My Heart are currently available to stream on HIDIVE.
