In a move that may encourage newcomers to explore the narrative-driven mystery of the AI: The Somnium Files series, Spike Chunsoft has introduced permanent price reductions for the digital editions of both AI: The Somnium Files and its sequel AI: The Somnium Files – nirvanA Initiative. These changes apply to digital storefronts across Steam, Nintendo Switch, Playstation and Xbox.
The original AI: The Somnium Files is now available digitally for $19.99 USD – half its previous price of $39.99. Meanwhile, the sequel nirvanA Initiative, which continues the series’ mix of sci-fi mystery and psychological intrigue, has been reduced to $39.99 USD from its original $59.99. Note that there may be slight differences between regions.
European players purchasing through the Nintendo eShop will see the updated pricing from 27 May 2025. Players in other regions are encouraged to check their local online storefronts for availability and regional pricing details.
