Indie developer Galla Games, founded by Dominican brothers Paulo and Pavel Lara, alongside publisher Fellow Traveller, have announced that Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo will be released on 16 May 2025. The game will be available on PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X|S, where it will also be accessible from launch via Xbox Game Pass.
Set in a colourful, Latin American-inspired interpretation of the afterlife, Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo is a narrative-focused adventure. Players step into the role of Kulebra, a cheerful and mysterious snake who has died and found himself in Limbo—a place where lost souls are stuck in a time loop, endlessly reliving the same day.
The game sets out to combine lighthearted moments with more reflective themes, inviting players to uncover the origins of Limbo’s curse and help its inhabitants move on. Kulebra’s own story is central to the experience, with players gradually uncovering the snake’s forgotten past as they progress.
The game will launch with full bilingual support for English and Latin American-Spanish. It has also been developed with assistance from the Xbox Diversity Fund.
