If you have yet to experience the rabbit hole which is the ARG around the upcoming PC game Giggleland, then it is one you may want to consider. From multi-format content spanning animated episodes, old-school websites, old-school flash games and cryptic-clues a-plenty, even if you are late to the party, there is still quite a bit to admire.
But like any promising ARG / Game, especially ones with adorable characters and an increasing community interest – to the point that after each wave of the ARG is finished, Youtube frequently recommends you the animated featurettes, you may expect some content farming.
The game’s creative team has issued the below statement on their social network channels in response to content farming – mainly around moderating its presence on official channels such as the Discord channel – with the statement that they will “never penalize or discourage creators through copyright strikes or other punitive measures”.
