During the recent Nintendo Direct: Nintendo Switch 2 showcase, Capcom confirmed that Street Fighter 6 and Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess will be among the titles available at launch when the Nintendo Switch 2 is released on 5 June 2025.
Street Fighter 6 will bring Capcom’s long-running fighting game franchise to Nintendo’s new platform, offering a range of new features tailored to the system. This includes local wireless modes such as one-on-one battles and avatar matches using customised characters from the World Tour mode, as well as additional ways to play through tabletop, motion-controlled Gyro Battles, and a Calorie Contest mode that uses the Joy-Con controllers for activity-based gameplay.
The Switch 2 version will also support amiibo functionality. Collectible amiibo figures and cards, including characters such as Luke, Jamie, and Kimberly, will be available at launch. These unlock in-game rewards such as character outfits, wallpapers, and audio content. The Street Fighter 6 Years 1-2 Fighters Edition, featuring all content from the game’s first two years including 26 characters and 20 stages, will be available across all major platforms from launch day, alongside a standard edition for the Switch 2.

Joining it at launch is Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, Capcom’s strategy-action hybrid. The game follows Soh, a warrior who protects the Maiden Yoshiro from waves of supernatural enemies known as the Seethe. Blending sword combat with tactical positioning and resource management, the title features a dynamic day-and-night cycle where players command villagers and purify corrupted areas.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess will include new features, including support for handheld, tabletop, and TV modes, as well as optional mouse and gyro controls. A new mode, Otherworldly Venture, will also be included as a free update and will be made available on all existing platforms.
