Square Enix have formally announced that Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn (Aka. Final Fantasy XIV ver 2.0) will enter the closed beta phase for the Windows PC next Monday – welcoming loyal fans into the fully-redesigned and hopefully up-to-and-above-standard MMO adventure. If you have yet to play the game yet, or if you are curious as to how your computer might handle the improved release – Square Enix are releasing a brand new benchmark tool which can be downloaded from the games official website HERE.
Closed Beta players will be able to try out the new Full Active Time Events, or “FATE,” as part of the new gameplay system. Players can participate in these randomly occurring events by simply being within proximity of the event, without the need to form parties. The release has rebuilt the game world from the ground up to improve all systems and gameplay in order to bring it up to what it should have been when it originally launched.
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is set for release on the PC and Playstation 3 later this year.
