Nippon Ichi Software America (NIS America) has announced that Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero will be making its way to Steam on 24 April 2025. The PC version will include a range of platform-specific features such as support for 4K resolution, ultrawide displays, and keyboard and mouse controls. Alongside these enhancements, players can expect additional display options including arbitrary resolution and multiple aspect ratios.
This release follows the game’s earlier launch on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. You can check out my comprehensive review of the PlayStation 5 version HERE.
For those who purchase the Steam version between launch and 7 May, a pair of exclusive bonuses will be included: the Putty Outfit: Minty and the official soundtrack. These items will later be bundled into the Ultimate Edition for future buyers.
Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero continues the series’ unconventional take on the strategy RPG genre, forgoing traditional grid-based movement in favour of freeform positioning. Players take on the role of Marona, who can summon and merge with Phantom allies in combat using systems such as “Confining”, and newly implemented features such as “Confiring” with Gadgets, and “Confriending” to unlock powerful transformations and abilities.
