Square Enix has confirmed that Final Fantasy XIV Online Patch 7.2, titled Seekers of Eternity, will launch on Tuesday, 25 March 2025, and serves as the second major post-launch patch following the release of Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail. The announcement was made during the latest Letter from the Producer LIVE broadcast, where Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida introduced a new trailer showcasing upcoming content.
The update will introduce new main scenario quests, a new raid, and enhancements to Player versus Player (PvP) content, among other additions. A week after launch, the Savage difficulty for the new raid will be available.

- New Main Scenario Quests
- New Dungeon – The Underkeep
- New Raid – The Arcadion: Cruiserweight Tier (Savage difficulty launches 1 April 2025)
- New Trial – Recollection (Normal/Extreme)
- New Cornservant Side Quest
- New Unreal Trial – Hells’ Kier (Unreal): A level 100 battle against Suzaku, one of the Four Lords
- Duty Support Additions: Support added for The Sunken Temple of Qarn
- PvP Updates: Start of PvP Series 8, new role actions for large-scale PvP, action adjustments, and the return of Frontline (Secure) with modifications
Additionally, YoshiP previewed content for upcoming sub-patches scheduled for later in 2025:
Patch 7.21 (22 April 2025) – Cosmic Exploration: A new activity for crafters and gatherers allowing players to explore uncharted stars alongside others from their World.
Patch 7.25 (27 May 2025) – New Field Operations: Occult Crescent: Set in the Shades’ Triangle, this mysterious island features dangerous terrain and formidable foes.
Patch 7.25 – Inconceivably Further Hildibrand Adventures: A continuation of the long-running, comedic and adventurous questline.
