Studio N Lite has shared new key artwork and character designs for its upcoming afro-anime film, Mfinda. The latest reveal includes artwork by Shigeru Fujita, background art by Kazuyuki Hashimoto, and art direction led by Christiano Terry and Arthell Isom.
As part of this update, the studio introduced Kozo, a significant character within Mfinda. Kozo serves as the protector of the Mfinda, the gateway between the human and spirit worlds. He possesses the power of divine fire, with flames that intensify based on his emotions, and has the ability to shift between the form of a wild dog and his true self. His design draws inspiration from 15th- and 16th-century folklore and artwork from the Kingdom of Kongo, with contributions from Shigeru Fujita and Patience Lekien.
