Expanding collaboration between the two companies past distribution in Australia, New Zealand and France – Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe has announced an expansion of its distribution agreement with Square Enix. Effective now, Bandai Namco Entertainment subsidiaries in the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy, and the Nordic countries will oversee all trade activities for Square Enix’s physical game releases within these markets. However, for most consumers, this will probably make minimal if any difference.
Commenting on the announcement, Alberto Gonzalez Lorca, Vice President of Business Development and the Southern European Market at Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe, stated:
This expansion highlights the fantastic work Bandai Namco has been doing for the past years in the French and ANZ markets. solidifying our relationship with Square Enix cements us as a prime distribution partner for Japanese publishers in the European market.
Karine Parker, Senior Director of Sales and Operations in Europe at Square Enix, also remarked on the partnership:
