Continuing their trend of releasing some of their popular PlayStation exclusives eventually across to the PC, Sony Interactive Entertainment together with original developer Insomniac Games and the porting team at Nixxes has released Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 onto both Steam and the Epic Games Store. Players can now experience the latest chapter in the Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise, taking on the dual-roles of Peter Parker and Miles Morales as they face off against iconic Marvel villains, including Venom and Kraven the Hunter.
The PC version introduces several enhancements, with advanced graphical features such as ray-tracing and full support for ultra-wide aspect ratios. Players can fine-tune performance and visual fidelity through a range of ray-tracing options with adjustable quality settings. The game also supports NVIDIA DLSS Ray Reconstruction for improved ray-tracing quality on compatible hardware, alongside performance-boosting technologies like NVIDIA DLSS 3, AMD FSR 3.1, and Intel XeSS upscaling.
Two editions of the game are available: the Standard Edition and the Digital Deluxe Edition (DDE), with an upgrade option for players who own the Standard Edition. Additionally, players who connect to a PlayStation Network account (optional for gameplay) will receive early unlocks of the Spider-Man 2099 Black Suit and the Miles Morales 2099 Suit, along with other benefits such as trophies and friend management features.
In celebration of the PC launch, Insomniac Games has partnered with NetEase Games and Marvel Games to bring Peter Parker’s Advanced Suit 2.0 from Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 to Marvel Rivals, now available for in-game purchase.
