As the launch of BLEACH Rebirth of Souls draws closer, Bandai Namco Entertainment has shared a new trailer for the Tamsoft Corporation developed fighting game, showcasing its features and gameplay mechanics.
The combat system in BLEACH Rebirth of Souls revolves around a strategic three-way interaction of Attack, Breaker, and Guard. Players will need to exploit these mechanics to break through opponents’ defences, while mastering counters and maintaining optimal distance to gain an advantage. A key feature of the game is the Awakening state, which activates after sustaining enough damage. In this mode, players gain improved stats, new abilities, and access to the devastating Kikon Move.
The game offers a range of modes catering to both narrative-driven and competitive playstyles:
- Story Mode: Players will relive Ichigo Kurosaki’s journey, starting from the Substitute Soul Reaper Arc and concluding with the Arrancar Arc.
- Secret Story Mode: This mode explores the main storyline from various characters’ perspectives, providing unique insights into the events of the series. Additional side episodes depict characters’ daily lives between battles.
- Battle Mode: Players can engage in offline matches with friends or take their skills online to compete against players worldwide.
- Mission Mode: Players will face predefined challenges designed to test their abilities in different scenarios.
BLEACH Rebirth of Souls is set for release on 21 March 2025 and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PC. Players who pre-order the game will receive a bonus costume set featuring Toshiro and Yoruichi in their Thousand-Year Blood War outfits.
