Developer Pikselnesia and indie publisher Fellow Traveller have announced the release date for Afterlove EP, the final project of late Indonesian developer Fahmi, known for Coffee Talk and What Comes After. The game will debut on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 on 14 February 2025, aligning with Valentine’s Day.
Set in contemporary Jakarta, Afterlove EP tells the story of Rama, a musician grappling with the loss of his girlfriend, Cinta. Despite her passing, Rama continues to hear Cinta’s voice in his head. Players will guide Rama as he navigates personal challenges, including finishing the EP he promised Cinta, reconnecting with friends and bandmates, preparing for a pivotal performance, and deciding how to move forward with his life.
The game blends narrative adventure, visual novel storytelling, rhythm-based gameplay, and life simulation elements. It is also hoped that Jakarta’s culture and scenery are brought to life through hand-drawn, manga-inspired artwork by Indonesian artist Soyatu, featuring real-world landmarks from across the city. Afterlove EP also incorporates an original Indonesian-language soundtrack by indie band L’alphalpha, with English subtitles available for international players.
