Potionomics: Masterwork Edition Now Available on Console, PC Update Released

Potionomics: Masterwork Edition, developed by Voracious Games and published by Marvelous Europe, has been released on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This expanded version of the original game, which combines potion crafting, shop management, deck-building, and RPG-style romance, is now available both digitally and in physical format on consoles. Alongside the console release, PC players received a free update that introduces the new features included in the Masterwork Edition.

The Masterwork Edition brings several enhancements, including voice acting for core characters, a choice of new difficulty settings—Cozy and Capitalism—and an Endless gameplay mode to encourage replayability. Additionally, the character of Boss Finn, a wealthy potion dealer, has a larger role in the game. Finn is now a romanceable character with additional story content and offers “life coaching” services that players can use to gain benefits for potion-selling. His content, which adds new cards to aid in haggling, is also available as a $4.99 downloadable content pack for PC players on Steam.

Potionomics challenges players to master potion-making and haggling while forming alliances with Rafta’s residents, whose assistance can lead to new potion recipes, rare ingredients, and powerful new cards to refine their deck. Potionomics is set in a vibrant economy where success depends on business acumen, relationship building, and the careful crafting of products. The game was originally released in October 2022 for the PC, with this marking the debut of the game on consoles.

Promoted features of Potionomics: Masterwork Edition include:

Can You Hear Me Now?: Sylvia’s story comes alive with all-new voice acting providing an added layer of depth and connection to Owl, Roxanne, Quinn, Mint, and other beloved characters. Additionally, new text languages will include German, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified and Traditional Chinese.

More Modes, More Fun: Make more of your time in Rafta with the new “Endless” mode, where the selling never stops. Test your sales skills with “Capitalism” mode, or don’t, and take it easy with “Cozy” mode for a more casual experience. Plus, the new “One Love/Free Love” options allow you to express Sylvia’s feelings for as few or as many suitors as you can handle.

Wheel and Deal: Negotiations can be tense when every coin counts, but you’ll manage Sylvia’s stress with ease by playing your cards right. Develop friendships with adventurers and other shopkeepers on Rafta to learn even more advanced negotiation tactics.

Recipe for Success: Choose the best ingredients to make even basic potions extraordinary, perfecting the taste and aroma to please your pickiest customers. But beware—if you aren’t careful, you’ll get some pretty gross results!

Fantastic Friends and Foes: Rafta, home to some of the world’s most potent magic, is packed with big RPG personalities, each seeking a leg up in their adventures. Befriend and recruit them to help you level up your own potion game, but don’t expect everyone to be friendly…
