As the search continues for the child cast of the upcoming Australian production of Annie, two specially priced preview performances have been announced in celebration of National Children’s Week. These new preview shows will be held on Tuesday, 25 March, and Wednesday, 26 March, at 7pm, with tickets available for $69.00. Tickets are on sale now via the official Annie the Musical Australia website.
While we may not know the youngest thespians who will perform in the titular role of Annie and her orphan friends, we do know who they will be performing alongside. The production is set to feature Anthony Warlow reprising his role as Oliver “Daddy” Warbucks, Dabora Krizak as Miss Hannigan, Mackenzie Dunn as Lily St. Regis, and KEanu Gonzalez as “Rooster” Hannigan – among others
Producer John Frost shared his excitement about the production:
“I’m so excited to bring that perennial favourite Annie back to Australia for a whole new generation. With Anthony returning to the role that took him to Broadway, alongside Debora, Mackenzie, Keanu and Amanda Lea, I know this production, directed by Karen Johnson Mortimer and with new choreography by Mitchell Woodcock, is going to be fantastic. Line up now to buy your tickets to one of the most delightful and inspiring musicals of all time. Don’t wait until Tomorrow!
