US fans of the Dragon Ball universe have something to look forward to this November, with Toei Animation and Fathom Events teaming up to offer the world premiere of the Dragon Ball DAIMA English dub, set to hit US cinemas this November. Following the series’ 11 October 2024 subtitled broadcast debut, Toei Animation and Fathom Events have announced a limited three-day theatrical event, giving U.S. fans the exclusive chance to watch the first three episodes of Dragon Ball DAIMA with English dubbing ahead of its official release.
Screenings will take place on November 10, 11, and 12 across hundreds of theaters in the U.S., showcasing the first-ever English dub of Dragon Ball DAIMA on the big screen. Tickets will go on sale starting 11 October, and a full list of participating theaters will be available on the Fathom Events website in the near future.
Masayuki Endo, President and CEO of Toei Animation Inc., expressed excitement about the event
We are thrilled to bring the world dub premiere of Dragon Ball DAIMA to U.S. theaters this November. This special theatrical event offers U.S. fans an exclusive opportunity to not only be among the first to watch the never-before-seen English dub but also to experience the start of this exciting new story by creator Akira Toriyama on the big screen. Diehard Dragon Ballers will not want to miss it!
Ray Nutt, CEO of Fathom Events, added:
Fathom Events is excited to be partnering once again with Toei Animation to bring the latest chapter in the incredible Dragon Ball franchise to the big screen. This new series is a masterpiece from Akira Toriyama, and Dragon Ball fans will love seeing it on the big screen as it takes everyone into this exciting new world.
Produced by Toei Animation, Dragon Ball DAIMA joins a long legacy of Dragon Ball anime series – which those of my generation would have started watching as a “morning cartoon”, including Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, Dragon Ball Z Kai, and Dragon Ball Super. The franchise also boasts 21 feature films, numerous video games, a trading card game, and an expansive catalog of merchandise.
