Spike Chunsoft has announced the upcoming release of the Plus Pack season pass for Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island on Nintendo Switch. The paid DLC will add new playable characters and 10 new dungeons, split across two parts. Part 1 will be available on 10 September 2024, and Part 2 will release on 31 October 2024, in North America and Europe. This is in addition to a free update which is available now.
The Plus Pack will introduce Koppa as a playable character in Part 1, and Asuka in Part 2. In Sacred Tree mode, Koppa, a talking ferret who travels with Shiren, can move at double speed but cannot attack or equip gear. Instead, players will need to rely on abilities like Burrow and Frantic Fart, which consume their Fullness. In Part 2, Asuka, an old friend of Shiren and Koppa, will join as a wandering swordswoman.
The DLC will also feature 10 new dungeons, five in each part. Part 1 will include dungeons such as the Forest of Frugality, where items are swapped when you travel between each floor, and Peachy Trap Domain, which focuses on traps and monster transformations. Part 2 will introduce Soul of Serpentcoil Island, a high-difficulty dungeon surpassing even the toughest challenge in the base game.

The Plus Pack season pass will be priced at $14.99 USD (or local equivalent) and includes both parts. They cannot be purchased individually, and the main game is (obviously) required to play the content.
In addition to the paid DLC, a third free content update has been released. This update introduces three new dungeons and the Gear Rack, which allows players to display weapons and shields they have collected. The update also includes various adjustments and improvements to the game. New dungeons include:
- Go Go Dungeon: A short, 5-floor dungeon where monsters get stronger with each floor.
- Wanderers’ Highway: A dungeon with narrow floors, companions, and easily identifiable items.
- Quietude of Serpentcoil Island: A more difficult dungeon based on Heart of Serpentcoil Island.
