Ahead of the game’s release in the coming days, Spike Chunsoft has announced the release of a demo for Natsu-Mon: 20th Century Summer Kid, now available exclusively on Nintendo Switch. This open-world adventure game offers players a chance to enjoy a relaxing summer holiday in Japan, engaging with local townspeople, exploring natural landscapes, and catching insects. Progress made in the demo can be transferred to the full game, ensuring a seamless continuation of your summer adventure. The demo can now be downloaded via the Nintendo eShop.
In addition, Spike Chunsoft has revealed the Broadcast Over Sunset DLC and the Sunset Bundle, which includes both the main game and the new DLC. The Broadcast Over Sunset DLC introduces players to a new island with diverse landscapes and unique habitats. Players can search for 30 new insect and fish species not found in Yomogi Town. New locations include a radio station antenna tower, the remnants of an old village, and a mysterious cave.
The story in this DLC revolves around DJ Tei-kiatsu, who runs a local radio station, and Tobiyama-san, the performance director of the Mirage Circus Troupe. The DLC also adds new insects, fish, additional episodes for some of the townsfolk, and other features to enhance the summer vacation experience. As downloadable content rather than a standalone experience, owning and downloading the main game is required to play the DLC.
Natsu-Mon: 20th Century Summer Kid in addition to the Broadcast Over Sunset DLC and the Sunset Bundle, which includes both the main game and the DLC, will be released as digital downloads for Nintendo Switch and PC (via Steam) in North America and Europe starting 6 August 2024.
