Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions Receives Early September Release Date

While 2023’s Hogwarts Legacy had the ability to fly your broomstick throughout the areas surrounding Hogwarts, what was entirely left out due to lore-reasons, was the ability to partake in any form of the popular wizarding sport, Quidditch. However starting 3 September 2024, you can, with Warner Bros Games. set to release Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, the second ever video game adaptation based on the sport popularised by the Harry Potter franchise, the first being the oft-forgotten Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup from Electronic Arts in 20023. In this game, players will be able to engage in solo play, cooperative online matches, or competitive player-versus-player games of Quidditch.

Developed by Unbroken Studios and published by Warner Bros. Games under the Portkey Games label, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is set for a global release on 3 September for £24.99 (or local equivalent). It will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Additionally, the game will be accessible at no extra charge to PlayStation Plus members from 3 to 30 September 2024.

The game will feature familiar locations, characters, and references from the wizarding world. Players can participate in various modes, taking on the roles of Beater, Chaser, Keeper, or Seeker. Iconic settings such as the Weasley Burrow and the Quidditch World Cup stadiums will be included. It is also set to take place in modern times unlike Hogwarts Legacy, and will therefore feature familiar faces including the iconic trio of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger – with the trailer putting a focus on Ginny Weasley who serves as the trailer’s narrator.

Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions gives fans a chance to delve further into the Harry Potter world with the thrill of playing this beloved, fantastical sport. The team has worked to capture the spirit of Quidditch, including iconic characters and never-before-seen areas of the wizarding world.

David Haddad – President of Warner Bros. Games

The team is excited to unveil Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions and showcase our take of this magical sport. We’ve worked hard to create a Quidditch game to play solo or with friends, that is an authentic representation of the fan-favorite sport.
